Each Wednesday we will post an upcycling idea to encourage your eco-friendly creativity! Upcycling, according to Wikipedia, is “the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value”. This week, a great idea to upcycle MCC thrift shop frames that will focus on a home decor art project. Go one step further and thrift children’s toys, and even scraps of material or wallpaper.
First, find a frame that you like. I tend to gravitate toward vintage looking frames that have cute details, like a beaded edge or rope detailing. I found the frames below at a MCC thrift shop for under $5 each.
Second, follow the instructions found on this great blog to create this project!
